Telemarketers Get on My Nerves and Should Stop Calling Me

I find sales people incredibly annoying. Regardless of the product they are selling I am simply not interested. Why don't they use more passive forms of advertising like roadside advertising or newspaper ads? Most of theses telemarketers have mediocre sounding voices and have the ability to talk non stop. They often have the knack of calling exactly at the wrong time. I am often preparing dinner or helping the children with their homework. During the week I must receive at least ten telemarketing phone calls. I always politely tell them that I am not interested. This is usually sufficient. I have never purchased any service or item over the telephone. I am sure plenty of people have however I am a little skeptical. I prefer seeing advertisements in newspapers and leaflets than being pressured into a purchase that I do not really want. I think there is a place for telesales however I think telemarketers should sound much more professional over the phone and pronounce words fluently. It is wonderful to listen to a pleasant sounding voice for a change.
