The main causes of fires in homes is negligence and carelessness. There are those people who's idea of relaxation is taking a long bath with scented candles every where, and this is a great idea and even safer when they turn them off after taking their bath. Now the ignorant and careless part is when they forget to turn it off and then a candle falls on a pile of clothes and a fire is started like that. That is why many people are advised to turn off candles after they are done using them because they can be hazardous. Another main area of fire is in the kitchen and is commonly caused by gas cookers and electric cookers. A cooker can be of big help when it comes to cooking duties but when they are not handled with care, then they become a danger. If you are using a gas cooker, then make sure that it is installed safely. It should not be leaking because if it is, then chances that a fire might erupt is pretty obvious. Gas is easily combustive and thus should be handled with extreme care.
