Nilo has been a school bus driver for more than two decades already. Although he is not making a lot of money from his job, he does not mind. What is more important for him is knowing that through him, students are brought to and from school safely. Being the responsible driver that he is, Nilo never forgets to check vehicle before going anywhere. He seldom meets accidents on the road and parents of the students trust that for as long as Nilo is the one driving, their kids are safe. Nilo seems happy and content with what he does because he is never heard complaining about anything related to his work. In fact, he looks forward to reporting to his post every single day, knowing that he will be rendering much needed services to his clients. For Nilo, being able to contribute to society in his own humble way, is more than enough to keep him going. Now how many of us can say the same thing? How many of us work in the name of service? |

When I was living with my parents, I had to abide by their rules because that was the only way that I could get any type of peace. There was a time that I questioned them a lot and they did not like it at all so I had to stop that because that caused them to ground me timelessly. When I was old enough to get a car, I asked if I could get a motorcycle instead and my mother said no daughter of hers was going to drive a motorcycle. So I had to do the car theory test so that I could start the process of getting a car and actually getting to drive it. The one thing that made me stand all that was I knew that I had to move out eventually and fend out for myself and when that happened I would do whatever I wanted and drive what I wanted to drive. I did exactly this when I moved out, I saved enough money and bought myself a motorcycle, and instead of the car theory test I took a bike theory test instead. After I passed the practical and theory test, life was good. |

With every new GPS fleet management system, we are faced with the challenge of properly securing the information it collects and transmits. Problems related to database security are not uncommon to these GPS fleet tracking systems, as anyone with access to the information will have knowledge of the intimate details of your vehicle assets, like exact location or what they are carrying. Another problem you could also face with these systems is that the information may be intercepted, even during transmission. Should any outsider be able to do either of the two, they may be able to use this information to their advantage. Criminals may be able to use this to track down your assets and plan to steal your goods!
Although it is true that a GPS system is full of benefits and advantages, it is also essential that we are well aware of the different risks involved in it. This way, we may be able to take the necessary precautions before fully investing in one. |

Whether you live in a big mansion or a small cottage, you want to take pride in your home and your neighborhood. One way you can make a big impact with a small action is to make sure you take care of your yard, the sidewalk, and the street in front of your home. When the outdoor places around your home look neat and tidy, your neighbors are more likely to take care of their yards. Many civic organizations will "adopt" a section of roadway. They might even use a road sweeper hire company for their cleaning plans. Their members will gather for a day, armed with garden gloves and trash bags, and pick up the litter. In some municipalities, judges will sentence non-violent criminal offenders to a trash detail. When visitors drive through a downtown area, they are much more likely to stop, have lunch, and shop if they feel safe. Having clean roads is the first step in promoting a safe image. I remember one time when I was driving to a nearby city and took the wrong exit. I ended up in an unfamiliar place. I immediately felt unsafe. And the reason for my uneasiness was the sheer amount of broken glass, scattered paper, and assorted litter that I saw all around me. I got out of there as quickly as I could. Had the area been neat and tidy, I would have stopped somewhere, gotten gas and maybe something to eat, and asked for directions. I usually don't mind getting lost. It gives me a chance to explore new places. But, in that case, getting lost was scary, not adventurous. So to ensure the kind of good quality of life we all want, do your part. If someone drops some trash near your house, pick it up. Keep your yard tidy. Compliment your neighbors on how nice their lawns look. Above all, don't litter! |

Everything these days is done online. We are learning online, communicating online, shopping online, working online, getting entertained online and even paying bills online. As long as one is in access to an internet source, they will always do so much online. Internet technology has brought so much ease to us and our lives. The other day I was shocked to hear from my youngest son that people these days are taking driving lessons online. He wanted to do driving alongside his college studies and I was trying to tell him that it was not going to be possible since he is always in school. He told me that he could be taking his lessons in the evening after school, which was quite agreeable. He even told me of a possibility of booking driving test online after doing all his studies. Its a really different world we are living these days, different from what we have been living, and I like it so much. Flexibility is one thing that everyone in this world loves the most, and this is what this technology is offering. |

Driving is a necessity for me if I was not able to learn how to drive, I would be late every single day of my life from work. If that happened, I would be job less for a long time. I am not a morning person I tend to wake up 30 minutes before I should be timing in for work. Because of this, I always end up arriving at work a minute or seconds before the time. This year, I will be renewing my driver’s license. I always make sure I renew it a month or weeks before its expiration so that I won’t suffer its consequences. This time, one of their requirements for renewal was to undergo a written exam about the basics on the rules and regulations of driving. I was given a Book Driving Test to study on for an hour then take an exam for 30 minutes. If I pass the exam, I am closer to renewing my license. If not, I will have to retake the exam and should make sure to pass it or else I would have to undergo a seminar about driving. Although this would be a hassle for drivers, it will help screen out drivers that are not worthy enough to drive on the road. |

I am not scared of work - I've done all kinds of work through the years - from selling universal van roof racks to being a travel guide.
As for my perfect job, it would involve a combination of the following: stay at home, free stuff, flexible work hours, high satisfaction, interaction with others, ability to travel, and a decent salary (with the chance for advancement). So what would it be? A product tester/opinion writer. I would like to make about $150K and test products at home and send back feedback to the manufacturer/creator. Periodically, I would like to travel to different locations and spend a few days on site and test products (Caymens, Puerto Rico, Alaska...doesn't matter). I feel that this would be rewarding in many instances, since I would be able to play a significant role in the development/improvement of a product. Additionally, I would be able to experience many products before they hit the market and have a good idea as to where certain product lines/technology is headed. |
